If you know me you know that decorating for the holidays just isn't my thing. I really wish that it was. My mom was the perfect mom, decorated for each and every holiday and baked homemade cookies for my lunch. I on the other hand don't possess those talents. In fact sometimes when I see blogs of other people who are really into decorating and have such a flair for it I get feelings of inadequacy and sadness. I wish that was me, but alas, no it is not.
This year we have a tree up and I hung the stockings. That is pretty much it. I think I'll hang the mistletoe ball up tomorrow if I think of it. My favorite Christmas decoration that we have each and every year is the many cards, wishes and pictures that we receive from near and far. About a month ago I removed a large piece of furniture that was in the living room and it was a perfect spot for the tree AND a nice large canvas "aka...wall" for the cards. It has worked out very well. I am happy to have them all up where we can enjoy them and soon they will all be off the wall and going into their new home of my Christmas photo album. I began those albums back in 1987 and have enjoyed seeing so many friends through our own years as a family. I will take my decorating scheme any day. Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home.

My goodness, I can even see our photo card on the wall! :o)
I found ours too! :-) Love your photo wall and all the special friends smiling back at you! Thank you for your special visit yesterday...I even started the book and am enjoying it so much! Most of all I appreciated your support and encouragement! You're the best friend!
I see myself!!!! Oh, and you decorate photo albums, that is your talent. And really, which is more important: decorating for one month, or producing something that lasts a lifetime? Really. (That was my impression of the "Seth and Amy" bit from SNL...)
